Mexican policeman escaping drug violence denied Canada refuge

When a senior policeman from the violence-plagued Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez had his life threatened by drug gangs, he moved to Canada seeking refugee status.

But Canadian authorities say he should be protected by his own government and want to send him and his family back to Mexico.
