U.S. investigators are in Pakistan probing a deadly hotel bombing as more bomb threats close schools in the nation's capital, Islamabad, reports Elizabeth Palmer.
Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan's president, has condemned the bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad as "horrible and cowardly". Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports from Islamabad where rescue teams are searching through the remains of the Marriot hotel after a truck exploded, killing at least 40 people.
Police say a suicide bomber has driven an explosives-laden vehicle into Islamabad's Marriott Hotel. At least 40 people are reported to have been killed and wounding 50 more wounded, as the hotel was packed for breaking fast during Ramadan. Nadim Baba reports.
