3 Arrested in Murders of L.S.U. Students

There's been a break in the investigation into the brutal deaths of two Louisiana State University graduate students. Police say they arrested and charged two Baton Rouge men Thursday with two counts of first degree murder. And a third man was arrested Wednesday on an unrelated charge of simple robbery. It comes months after the bodies of two students were found in an on-campus apartment. Both of the doctoral students-- who were from India-- had been shot in the head. One was bound with a computer cable and the other victim was found near the door. Back in December-- police believed they were victims of a home invasion, but there was no sign of forced entry. And they happened near the end of final exams, as many of the university's nearly 30-thousand students headed home for the holidays. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
