The Guardian: Race Imboden takes a knee and joins tradition of US athlete protests

United States gold medal-winning fencer Race Imboden may face sanctions for taking a knee during the medal ceremony at the 2019 Pan-Am Games.  Imboden’s gesture preceded a similar protest on Saturday by American hammer thrower Gwen Berry, who raised her fist at the end of the national anthem after winning gold.
