Taking the campaign abroad

McCain heads to Colombia and Mexico this week, and later this summer Obama plans a trip to Europe, Middle East. Republican Senator John McCain has tactical reasons for going to Latin America. His popularity among Hispanic voters has been eroding in recent polls as Obama's has grown. For Democratic Senator Barack Obama, the need is to convince Americans that he is not a foreign policy lightweight as the McCain camp has suggested.
