India's lucrative Tiger trade

A century ago, India had more than 40,000 tigers. Today, it has fewer than 1,500.

Poaching, the illegal trade of tiger parts, and habitat destruction have reduced its population.

The government now wants to move thousands of villagers living in tiger reserves to halt the damage.
